Freely adapted from Mantegazza
This viola was built in 2014 by the renowned French violin maker Jean-Louis Prochasson.
It is characterized by an easy playability, comfortable size and neck measures of 14,8cm to 21,7cm stop length.
Sound body
With its wide-grained spruce top and solid maple back—highly arched beneath a transparent varnish—this instrument is a real eye-catcher. Thanks to this design, it compensates for its small size by delivering the air volume of a large instrument.
The back is made of gently flamed sycamore maple, the sides of a lively shell maple.

Shipping
Your instrument will be safely packed and delivered insured to your doorstep by DHL. As soon as the package is delivered by me personally to the post office, you will receive the tracking number. The shipping costs will be paid by us. Import taxes, customs costs and import licenses are not covered by Hellmichviolins.
To ensure that your instrument arrives at your home undamaged, we have developed a secure packaging method. Therefore Hellmichviolins bears the full risk for the transport to you. Please keep the packaging in case you want to return the instrument.
We rely on DHL for shipping.
After the payment is received, the instrument will be shipped to you within 3 business days and takes 2-7 business days depending on the destination. We will keep you informed about the process and provide you with the tracking number.

Trial month
We want you to feel completely at ease and to be able to test your new instrument in familiar surroundings, so you can take it home with you for 10 days without incurring any costs. Need more time to be completely sure? No problem. We want you to be 100% satisfied. Upon payment of the purchase price, you will have a 30-day trial period for the instrument, which will begin as soon as the instrument arrives.
Option no. 1:
You can exchange the instrument for one of equal value, higher quality or lower price and pay the difference or get it back. To do this, return it to us in its original packaging, cleaned with a dry cloth.
Option no. 2:
You send the instrument back and get 100% of your money back.
As soon as the instrument is back with us, we will inform you by e-mail. Then we will immediately initiate the transfer of the money back, depending on the transfer method, the process can take up to 7 days.
The instrument is insured for shipping damages, the return shipping is covered by Hellmichviolins.
Also the 30 days during which you can try the instrument are insured by Hellmichviolins. There are exceptions to this:
Broken strings, damage caused by transportation in the trunk or on a motorcycle, damage directly or indirectly caused by explosion, chemicals or radioactivity, loss or damage directly or indirectly caused by war, terrorism or military operations, damage directly or indirectly caused by corrosion, moisture, dryness, dust, damage caused by extreme climatic conditions such as extreme temperatures or exposure to light, damage caused by earthquakes and other forces of nature, damage or loss caused by transportation by aircraft, damage intentionally inflicted by you or third parties.

Order process
Not every love lasts forever, so we are happy to offer to take instruments purchased from us in trade and exchange them for a higher quality one. If the instrument is in original condition, 100% of the purchase price of the old instrument, will be applied to the new one. For this you need the original invoice.
Commissioned instruments and accessories as well as instruments from other categories (violin vs. cello) are excluded.
It is normal to see signs of use on beloved and played stringed instruments, on the bridge, fingerboard, strings and varnish. In case of significant damage (cracks, broken corners or edges, deformation, severe varnish damage) and very unkempt instruments, as well as modifications made by other luthiers (bridge, accessories, etc.), we may have to deduct a part of the instrument price or cannot take it back.
We will inform you about the progress of the repair and will perform it on time and reliably. During this time, we will gladly provide you with a replacement instrument free of charge.
Sale on consignment is generally possible, but we reserve the right to include only selected string instruments in our online catalog. Criteria for inclusion are, for example, sales opportunities, condition and price.
If you want to put an instrument on consignment, send us photos and scans of existing certificates, as well as information(e.g. damage). If the instrument is suitable for sale through Hellmichviolins, the instrument is personally inspected and sound adjustments or repairs are made that meet the workshop’s quality standards and facilitate a flawless sale.
The fees for this are only charged when the instrument is sold. The conditions for commission sales are 18%. For the presentation on the Internet, advertising and handling of the sale we charge a flat rate of 150 €.
We accept all major payment methods (Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer, Paypal). Please note, however, that some may incur fees.
